FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is iLogon?
iLogon is an application for managing online subscriptions. Ok, so now what is an online subscription you ask? Simply put, an online subscription is any website that requires a username and password to access. We focus on premium (fee based) or "freemium" (free basic account with upgrade to premium) websites, but we will always offer some free services as well if they fit our model.
So how do we manage online subscriptions? We provide a place for users to come to find the applications they want and sign up for these apps at a discount. Once the sign up process is complete, iLogon is your single sign-on site for your subscriptions. We let you access all of the sites you subscribed to with one Logon, we provide one consolidated billing so you only have to enter your credit card number one time and in one location, and we save you money on the subscription fees.
How much does it cost?
Signing up for a basic iLogon account to access the application is free, and we often run promotions to get other free services bundled with the iLogon Account. We will only ask for a credit card when you subscribe to any of our premium services. The fees are variable, based on the services you choose, and the more services you subscribe to, the bigger the discount.
What Services or Applications do you offer?
Our list of partners is growing all the time. To see the current list of partners Click "Browse Services" or "Get Started Today". Check back often, as we add new partners regularly. You can also tell us what services you would like to see offered on iLogon.
What is Freemium?
The Freemium model is a growing trend on the internet, especially for Web 2.0 sites. Freemium sites offer their basic service for free, and is generally supported by advertising. If you want to remove the ads, get more features, more storage space, etc you can upgrade to the premium version for a monthly or annual fee. Free + Premium = Freemium.
We're big fans of the Freemium model, because we believe if a website offers valuable content or services it should have a revenue model to support and grow the business. Freemium sites offer the best of both worlds: free services for users who don't want to pay or don't need the advanced features, and premium services for those who will benefit from the additional value and are willing to pay for this extra value.
